Blast Points and Blast Gold

To encourage participation and commitment to Blast, the Blast protocol is awarding Blast Points and Blast Gold. Holders of ETH/USDB will receive Blast Points, while Blast Gold is allocated to protocols developed on Blast. These protocols can then distribute the Gold amongst their users to foster long-term development and alignment with the protocol.

This page details the methods through which we receive and manage Blast Points and Blast Gold.

Blast Points

Blast Points are allocated by the Blast Protocol to externally owned accounts (EOAs) or contracts (assuming they’re correctly configured) that hold ETH/WETH or USDB. Points accumulate linearly over time based on your balance of ETH and USDB, as outlined in the official Blast documentation.

When ETH/USD is transferred to a smart contract, that contract also earns points in proportion to its ETH/USD balance over time.

ZAP contracts are set up so that the USDB and ETH total value locked (TVL) in the ZAP liquidity pool accrue Blast Points. These points are then distributed by Blast to ZAP based on these balances over time.

At present, the only contracts of ours that accept ETH or USDB are our fundraise/token sale contracts. When one these contracts is awarded any Blast Points, we distribute them to all investors proportionally based on their investment in the fundraise.

Blast Gold

Blast has started distributing Gold to reward applications operating on the Blast mainnet. As a reminder: Gold is a Blast incentive given to protocols and applications on the chain, intended to be further distributed to encourage long-term development.

Blast Gold acts as an additional bonus on top of Blast Points and is effectively accessible only if you are effectively utilising your assets on Blast within DeFi or other financial applications.

ZAP is a beneficiary of Blast Gold and will be distributing Blast Gold to eligible users of the protocol. We will regularly distribute Blast Gold via our Drops product to reward users for their engagement. Blast Gold is distributed based on levels, which are determined by your level/amount of XP on ZAP. We are starting with pledging 50% of Gold to organic users.
